Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Cardiac Stepdown RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures, including pre and post cardiac caths, pacemakers, TEEs/Cardioversions, open heart surgery, ablations, TAVRs, groin management, strokes/TIAs, traumas, sepsis, COPD, CHF, AFib exacerbations, detox and drug abuse, and general med/surg telemetry overflow and IV maintenance.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
- Instruct and educate patients and family members on their care and treatment.
- Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License.
- BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross).
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia within 3 months from hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale within 45 days of hire.
