Position Overview

Objective:

The Customer Service Associate is responsible for processing payments from customers and staff for products and services, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all transactions. This role often serves as the final point of contact for customers, necessitating a friendly and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize the dealership's computer system to calculate customer bills accurately.
  2. Receive various forms of payment, including cash, checks, and credit cards, documenting each transaction appropriately.
  3. Ensure all personal checks are verified and obtain management approval for any unverified checks.
  4. Provide correct change and issue receipts to customers, ensuring all repair orders are signed at the time of payment.
  5. Summarize and verify totals of all transactions at the end of each shift, reconciling with cash, checks, and credit card payments.
  6. Collaborate with department managers to stay informed about new products, services, and pricing changes.
  7. Direct customers with additional inquiries to the appropriate service advisor or personnel.
  8. Address customer complaints with professionalism and direct them to the right individual for further assistance.
  9. Process cash refunds for approved merchandise returns accurately.
  10. Maintain organized service files in a timely manner.
  11. Perform receptionist duties as needed.
  12. Execute other tasks as assigned by management.
  13. Adhere to all company safety protocols and report any incidents to a supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.

Basic proficiency with computers and office equipment necessary for cashiering and clerical tasks.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA and demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment assessments, including background checks and drug testing.
