Job Title: Front Desk Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Front Desk Associate to join our team at Service Corporation International. As a Front Desk Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Assist Guests: Greet guests and visitors, offering assistance when entering the building, and provide a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Notify Staff Members: Notify staff members when appointments arrive and escort guests to the appropriate room, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Answer Routine Questions: Answer routine questions associated with services, products, and location directions, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Notify Management: Notify management of customer service and security issues, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Handle Deceased Belongings: Receive deceased belongings from family and follow chain of custody procedures, handling sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
  • Answer and Route Calls: Answer, screen, and route incoming calls to appropriate staff members, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Maintain a Comfortable Environment: Maintain a comfortable environment for clients, providing beverages and other amenities as needed, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain the Guest-Waiting Area: Maintain the guest-waiting area, disposing of trash and general straightening of furniture, ensuring a clean and welcoming space.
  • Receive Mail and Packages: Receive incoming mail and packages, and ensure prompt delivery to the appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain Electronic and Paper Files: Maintain organized and current electronic and paper files and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Perform light typing, proofreading, data entry, or printing as needed, supporting the team with administrative tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
  • General Office Experience: Six months general office, receptionist, or administrative support experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient at operating telephones, fax, and copier.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • MS Office Suite: Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional speaking voice and tone.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Professional interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a schedule including Saturday and Sunday and beyond standard business hours.
