AccuWeather Careers is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Security Officer to join our team at our headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our team members and customers.
Responsibilities:- Patrol premises and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the security and safety of our facilities and personnel.
- Screen all team members and visitors, adhering to COVID-19 protocols and ensuring proper facility access procedures.
- Provide parking lot surveillance and safety, as well as notify authorities in emergency situations.
- Log all events during shifts and complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Maintain organization stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements and assisting with policy and procedure compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service and protect AccuWeather's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
- High school education or equivalent with 1-2 years of related experience or training.
- Ability to work all shifts on a rotating basis, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with Safety Management, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Professional, dependable, and able to maintain professionalism while assessing situations objectively with minimal direction required.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and building environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
