Job Title: Life Skills Coordinator - Residential ProgramJob Summary:

The Life Skills Coordinator - Residential Program will provide support for program Outcome Specialists and full-time Life Skills Coordinators, facilitate resident group life skills training, and function as a residential support aide when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and direct oversight to meal service to ensure the highest quality standards according to City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania regulatory and funding source guidelines, as well as state licensing requirements.
  • Strategically work with the Director to monitor the program and make ongoing and continuous program improvements and adjustments to increase effectiveness and maximize outcomes and impact for our residents and tenants.
  • Transport residents to appointments, check inventory for supplies, check/purchase requests, and other similar tasks when required.
  • Ensure that the quality of engagement between our residents, tenants, and supporting staff members is high, and that all interactions, especially during the administering of evidenced-based group facilitations, are trauma-informed, engaging, caring, and uncompromising.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate teamwork in working with all members of the residential team, and residents.
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional interactions with staff, residents, and all external stakeholders, especially during evidenced-based group facilitations.
  • Ability to interact in crisis situations and manage positive outcomes for the safety of residents and staff.
  • Advise as needed, support staff members, assist with developing individual teamwork and dedication to quality and accountability especially during evidenced-based group facilitations.
  • Ensure all supporting staff members are appropriately and supportively interacting with residents, especially during evidenced-based group facilitations.
  • Ensure all group functions adhere to the State 3800 regulations.
Working Conditions:

The Life Skills Coordinator - Residential Program will work in a fast-paced residential program environment, interacting with residents, staff, and external stakeholders. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in the field of Human Services, direct care. Certification in medication administration and trauma-informed training are a plus.

Physical Demands:

The position requires the ability to walk up and down stairs, lift 30 pounds, and operate a computer. A current valid driver's license and the willingness to drive as needed are also required.
