About the Opportunity: Apellis Pharmaceuticals is seeking a skilled Regional Business Leader to join our team and drive business growth in the Ophthalmology division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies that meet or exceed sales targets. **Job Description:**
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Lead a high-performing sales team to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, and Sales Operations to ensure aligned efforts
  • Evaluate emerging trends and changes in market conditions to inform business decisions


This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific data. If you have a proven track record of success in sales leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the ophthalmology industry, we encourage you to apply.

**Requirements:**
  • Minimum 3+ years sales management experience, with 6+ years progressive pharma/biotech industry experience
  • Experience in ophthalmology (retina preferred) and/or specialty product categories
  • Demonstrated 'expertise' level knowledge and experience with pharmaceuticals and biologics in a buy and bill environment


We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $220,000 per year, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
