About the Role

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and operation of CREW's technology deployments to achieve CO2 removal with our wastewater partners. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design, data analysis, and interactions with wastewater facilities, suppliers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, installation, and deployment of CREW technology for field deployments
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to execute on projects, including engineering and construction companies, suppliers & vendors, and partnering organizations
  • Prepare proposals including scope of work, cost estimates, schedules, presentations, and other related engineering project documentation
  • Maintain project schedule to ensure consistent progress toward carbon removal milestones
  • Conduct and manage fieldwork associated with design and construction services
  • Servicing of deployments with CREW science team and contractors, including water quality testing, calibration, and repair of materials handling and dosing equipment, visual inspections of systems, new installs, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, or environmental, mechanical engineering (or similar field)
  • 5+ years of experience in wastewater treatment
  • Strong writing, project management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software for engineering or product design (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Fusion, etc)
  • Experience with design, procurement, and construction of solid materials handling and dosing systems
  • Experience overseeing subcontractors and ensuring they deliver on project requirements
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Startup mindset with adaptability, creativity, agility, and execution
  • Strong desire to fight climate change
Bonus Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States
  • Advanced degree in engineering
  • Experience with sensor and monitoring systems and automation controls
  • Experience with DCS or SCADA integrations
