Wastewater Treatment Engineer

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and operation of CREW's technology deployments to achieve CO2 removal with our wastewater partners. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design, data analysis, and interactions with wastewater facilities, suppliers, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, installation, and deployment of CREW technology for field deployments
- Coordinate with external stakeholders to execute on projects, including engineering and construction companies, suppliers & vendors, and partnering organizations
- Prepare proposals including scope of work, cost estimates, schedules, presentations, and other related engineering project documentation
- Maintain project schedule to ensure consistent progress toward carbon removal milestones
- Conduct and manage fieldwork associated with design and construction services
- Servicing of deployments with CREW science team and contractors, including water quality testing, calibration, and repair of materials handling and dosing equipment, visual inspections of systems, new installs, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, or environmental, mechanical engineering (or similar field)
- 5+ years of experience in wastewater treatment
- Strong writing, project management, and communication skills
- Proficiency in CAD software for engineering or product design (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Fusion, etc)
- Experience with design, procurement, and construction of solid materials handling and dosing systems
- Experience overseeing subcontractors and ensuring they deliver on project requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Startup mindset with adaptability, creativity, agility, and execution
- Strong desire to fight climate change
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States
- Advanced degree in engineering
- Experience with sensor and monitoring systems and automation controls
- Experience with DCS or SCADA integrations
