Position Summary: This role is integral to the Lunar Transportation division, which is responsible for the development of the Blue Moon lander product lines. Our mission is to establish sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the entire lifecycle of fluid systems for the Lunar Lander, encompassing requirements definition, analysis, design, development, assembly, verification, and lunar operations.
  • Conduct trade studies, derive specifications, manage procurement, and oversee the testing and integration of heat exchangers within the fluid systems.
  • Utilize your expertise in cryogenic fluid systems and design components that function effectively in multiphase flow environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fluid system design, analysis, and component specification.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.
  • Experience with sizing and heat transfer calculations for heat exchangers.
  • Familiarity with fluid system simulation tools such as Sinda Fluint or Thermal Desktop.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (preferably Creo) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools (preferably ANSYS).
  • Skilled in creating engineering drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with external partners.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with all phases of component integration in space vehicles.
  • Background in engineering analysis related to Non-Conformance (NC) issues concerning fluid components and mechanical assemblies.
