Project Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controls Specialist to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our program management team, you will be responsible for providing critical information to support effective management and cost control of various projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain program and project cash flows to support the delivery of capital infrastructure projects.
- Support overall funding and financing strategies for the program based on program cash flow.
- Prepare all required budget requests and associated justifications to ensure uninterrupted funding of program activities.
- Support all financial activities required to support issuance of revenue bonds, secure grant funding, loans, and other forms of program funding.
- Implement and maintain a compliance assurance program to support compliance with terms and conditions of interrelated state and federal loans.
- Manage and update a comprehensive inventory of loan requirements to enable program compliance.
- Communicate state and federal loan requirements to interdisciplinary teams.
- Assist Procurement and Contracts Administrator with procurement activities, including bidding, change management, document management, and closeout.
- Administer updates and maintenance of assigned programs.
- Work as part of an integrated consultant-client team.
- Experience on large capital infrastructure programs is desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other standard business applications.
- Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or others is desired.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to concurrently manage multiple assignments and quickly adapt to new priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience developing and maintaining program and project budgets for complex capital construction projects and managing contract management information.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with developing processes and procedures related to cost and budget management for large capital infrastructure programs.
