Your role is crucial to our success. Every position influences our patients' experiences, and you have the chance to make a significant impact. We are seeking a committed Surgical Charge Nurse to contribute to our mission.
Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will coordinate patient care and staffing requirements for your assigned shift.

Ensure that patient care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, relevant state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and both generic and unit-specific standards.

Manage resources responsibly and serve as a resource and mentor to your colleagues.

Education:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:
A current RN license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration or an active compact license is required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required upon hire.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience is required.

Research Medical Center

is a large hospital with over 585 beds, offering a wide range of medical and health services. Our services include women's health, emergency care, and trauma services. We also provide a Stroke Center, walk-in clinic, and orthopedic services across multiple locations.

Our specialized care includes a Chest Pain Center, Level I Trauma Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs, and Primary Stroke Center.

We are part of HCA Midwest Health, which encompasses ten hospitals in the Kansas City area.
Research Psychiatric Center

is a facility with over 95 beds, providing acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare.
