Job Title: Director of Fleet Maintenance

Overview:

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Fleet Maintenance to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, with a focus on preventive maintenance and cost control.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet maintenance program to ensure the reliability and safety of our vehicles.
  • Manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs to ensure compliance with budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with other operational functions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of maintenance materials and services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in fleet maintenance management, with a focus on preventive maintenance and cost control.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team of maintenance personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • CDL class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
