Position Overview

This role is pivotal in advising, educating, and assisting HR, Marketing, and Internal Audit in the implementation of enterprise and operational risk initiatives. The objective is to foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the organization while ensuring compliance with the Company's risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk, Control, and Issue Management: Act as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and process coaching to the business unit to develop and maintain a thorough risk and control framework. Ensure prompt identification, remediation, and escalation of risks and issues while collaborating with management for effective resolution.
  • Risk Programs for New Products and Third-Party Management: Support business partners through governance processes related to new offerings and vendor engagements, including risk assessments. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks associated with new or modified processes and oversee the monitoring and reporting of these risks.
  • Risk Governance and Culture: Work alongside business leadership to manage risks within the Company's risk appetite and support critical decision-making. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and educate business leaders on risk management practices.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Aggregate and analyze risk data to facilitate reporting and analytics for risk management purposes. Collaborate with the business on content for risk reporting to senior management and relevant committees.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of six years in risk management, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of risk management principles, effective communication, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of COSO's Internal Control Framework or similar, along with relevant certifications.

Physical Requirements

This position primarily involves a standard office environment with a focus on sedentary work, requiring extensive computer use. The role may involve occasional physical activities such as standing or walking.

Compensation

The salary range for this position varies based on location and experience, reflecting the competitive nature of the industry.
