Position Overview:

The primary role of the Dispatcher position at Waste Pro USA is to facilitate communication between drivers and headquarters, ensuring seamless service delivery and efficient route management. This involves coordinating schedules, resolving routing and service issues, and disseminating relevant information to driver teams as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective communication between drivers and headquarters, dispatching drivers based on incoming service requests, customer requirements, drivers' locations, and daily variables to balance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Allocate routes and service tasks to appropriate drivers for the current and following days; close service tasks daily.
  • Organize, assign, supervise, and follow up on daily route allocations for residential, roll-off, and commercial drivers to ensure compliance with Waste Pro USA standards and contracts.
  • Address and resolve potential delivery and pickup issues before they escalate into service disruptions. Effectively communicate with drivers and customers to uphold customer satisfaction. Inform Sales personnel of service adjustments.
  • Handle incoming calls from Customer Service, providing necessary route details or follow-up. Collaborate with Customer Service Manager, Operations Manager, and drivers to ensure timely resolution of all issues. Assign county requests to route supervisors.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and act as an emergency contact for drivers.
  • Review route documentation, input customer data into databases, and close out work orders from previous day routes, meticulously checking for and rectifying any discrepancies. Record and distribute information gathered from drivers to relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate data in designated systems by verifying receipt and entry of all dump tickets in Tower, closing tickets and updating Trackese, inputting new driver, truck, and route data into Tower, inputting 'Crew Out' in Tower and sharing with Supervisors.
  • Generate, review, and rectify data entry errors in productivity reports for route supervisors daily.
  • Distribute and manage driver phones/radios, including conducting software updates and charging phones nightly.
  • Undertake additional tasks such as tracking uniforms, reviewing Drivers' timecards, reconciling supervisor fuel receipts, managing PPE inventory, ensuring availability of necessary forms, and preparing for Saturday shifts.

Additional Job Duties:

  • Employees in this role must attend and engage in company-sponsored training sessions.
  • Stay current on relevant technologies used by Waste Pro USA.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Work Environment:

Normal work environment: office setting.
