We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Culinary Operations Manager to oversee the back-of-house activities in our family-owned seafood establishment.

In this role, your ability to inspire and lead our kitchen personnel will be crucial in delivering outstanding culinary creations promptly.

Your ultimate responsibility will be to guarantee that all dishes are prepared to perfection and that our patrons enjoy a delightful and memorable dining experience. A strong knowledge of various seafood types and proficient filleting skills are essential.


  • Oversee, schedule, and mentor kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Supervise and implement food preparation, cooking, and plating processes.
  • Ensure accurate plate presentation, temperature control, and portion sizes are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Restaurant Operations to price menu items appropriately.
  • Manage food supply orders, maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimizing spoilage and waste.
  • Educate kitchen staff on preparation techniques, fish filleting, and plating standards.
  • Compile and maintain weekly and monthly cost reports.
  • Uphold sanitation, storage, and safety standards in the kitchen, adhering to health department regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor cost management, including food, beverage, labor, and other controllable expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws, including meal and break regulations.
  • Accountable for the restaurant's profitability while maintaining high standards of service, food quality, safety, cleanliness, and facility maintenance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience or training as a Culinary Operations Manager or Restaurant Manager, evidenced by a degree, certification, apprenticeship, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledgeable in kitchen sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to lead and manage a team in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficient in computer skills; familiarity with Restaurant 365 and POS systems is advantageous.
  • Possess high standards and a genuine passion for coaching, training, and motivating team members to achieve their goals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods while preparing and cooking food.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme temperatures.
