Job Summary:

As a key member of our team at ESS, the Area Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are met across our facilities. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively coordinate the activities of our cleaning and maintenance teams, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign tasks to team members and inspect completed work to ensure conformance to standards
  • Oversee the work of floor and carpet care employees, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Issue supplies and equipment to team members, ensuring they have everything they need to complete their tasks
  • Resolve any issues or concerns raised by team members, referring complex matters to management as necessary
  • Perform duties of team members as required, demonstrating a willingness to get involved and support the team
  • Directly supervise a team of 2-50 employees, providing guidance and leadership to ensure they are working effectively
  • Assist in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new team members, helping to build a strong and effective team
  • Plan, assign, and direct work to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard
  • Appraise the performance of team members, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve
  • Address customer complaints and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service

Requirements:
  • Two years of experience in a supervisory role, with a background in floor care and maintenance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Reliable transportation to ensure consistent dependability
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with contractual obligations
