Spiritual Care Provider

St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Hospital Chaplain to join our team. As a Chaplain, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and hospital staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide spiritual care and support to patients and their families, responding to their needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Listen and offer support without judgment, helping patients and families process their feelings and make decisions.
- Lead prayer groups and offer comfort to those who have lost a patient, providing a sense of community and support.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Ordination in a recognized ecclesial tradition, in good standing with the ecclesial authority and faith organization.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a spiritual services environment, such as a hospital, nursing home, hospice, or military chaplaincy.
- Certification through NACC, APC, or other acceptable accrediting organization, or eligibility for certification with four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a Bachelor's degree required.
