Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opening for a Residential Associate role within our team. As a member of the direct care team, you will work with adults facing significant mental health challenges. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the development of life skills, implementing therapeutic interventions, maintaining cleanliness, preparing meals, administering medications, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation. If you have experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residential Assistant, Qualified Mental Health Associate, or in similar caregiving roles, this position may align well with your skills.
Vocational Training Opportunity
For those starting as a QMHA-R, we offer a Vocational Training Program designed to expedite training, hands-on learning, and preparation for certification. This program enables qualified employees to complete the 1000 supervised hours required for QMHA-I certification in as little as 6 months. Participation in this program is optional.
Work Schedule Options:
- Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (Full Time, Day)
- Wednesday to Saturday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm (Part Time, Swing)
- Friday to Tuesday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm (Full Time, Swing)
- Thursday to Monday, 11:00pm - 7:30am (Full Time, Night)
The starting wage for this position is $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials. An additional night shift differential of $2.50 per hour applies for hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
About Our Program
Our facility is a newly licensed Secure Residential Treatment Facility, providing care for adults requiring Aid and Assist services. Clients receive comprehensive restoration services, competency assessments, mental health rehabilitation, and personal care support in a secure and nurturing environment.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- A Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, such as Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field;
- A minimum of three (3) years of verified behavioral health experience in a supervised setting;
- A combination of relevant education and satisfactory behavioral health experience and training.
Driving Requirement
This role requires a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Demands
This position involves frequent communication, mobility, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. It may also require occasional climbing, bending, and other physical activities. Successful candidates must complete crisis de-escalation and CPR training, which includes physical maneuvers. Reasonable accommodations can be made as needed.
