Job Summary:The Bilingual Patient Experience Specialist is responsible for managing all phases of the patient encounter, including scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Scheduling: Effectively perform all scheduling duties, including assisting patients in accessing care, processing incoming phone calls, and accurately collecting and entering patient demographics into our electronic practice management system.
- Front Office: Perform all check-in and check-out duties, including greeting patients and visitors, verifying and updating patient information, and performing all registration functions.
- Insurance Verification: Verify and update patient insurance information and eligibility, and perform daily insurance verification and discovery to close gaps for each patient.
- Payment and Scheduling: Collect payment from patients, set up payment plans, and schedule patient appointments, including follow-up and cancelations.
- Communication: Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a customer/patient service position.
- Experience working with a diverse population of people.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Confidence, professional judgment, and grace under pressure.
