We are seeking a skilled Aviation Parts Technician to join our team at StandardAero. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal parts and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate metal cleaning equipment, including vapor blasters, wheelabrators, deburrers, and blast cabinets, to remove excess welds, rust, and other material from metal parts and castings.
- Perform in-process cleaning, air drying, and buffing to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Identify and segregate ferrous, non-ferrous, and titanium parts for specific cleaning processes.
- Immerse metal products in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes and cross-train in other complementary skills as needed.
- Thorough knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Working knowledge of material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicals.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and regularly stand for prolonged periods.
