The CIP (Clean-In-Place) Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our food products by executing thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks. This position is essential for adhering to regulatory standards that guarantee our products and processes remain clean and sterile. This role operates on a full-time, second shift schedule, with opportunities for scheduled overtime, and reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex cleaning operations within manufacturing environments.
  • Utilize the CIP (clean-in-place) system to effectively clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and pipelines.
  • Disassemble and reassemble production machinery to facilitate necessary cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
  • Perform cleaning of processing tanks and vats.
  • Maintain cleanliness of various items throughout the facility, including weighing containers, scoops, totes, floors, and mixing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with plant policies as well as Federal and State regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Uphold quality and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated equipment.
  • Prior experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Potential exposure to dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems effectively.
  • Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating strong cooperative skills.
  • Willingness to work assigned hours plus overtime as required.
Compensation:
  • The starting wage for the CIP Sanitation Specialist is $23/hour, with an increase to $24/hour upon successful completion of training and performance review.
Work Hours:

Second shift - approximately 4 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday.

May require occasional Saturday work.
