Job DescriptionThe Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, modifying, and repairing our laser-based dental systems. This individual will work closely with customers to resolve technical issues, provide training and education, and ensure the seamless operation of our equipment. To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and outstanding customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Installation and Repair: Install, modify, and repair our laser-based dental systems at customer sites, ensuring high-quality results and meeting stringent regulatory requirements.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer sites, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques and tools to resolve complex technical issues.
  3. Device Maintenance: Inspect devices and test equipment periodically, adjusting calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards and meeting regulatory requirements.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Complete standard equipment documentation and reports for FDA compliance, accurately capturing data and providing detailed analysis.
  5. Customer Support: Provide customers with timely and accurate technical information, answering questions and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  6. Training and Education: Train dental office staff on the setup and maintenance of the dental laser, using interactive presentations and hands-on training to ensure comprehensive understanding.


Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma/GED required; ASEE or equivalent technical education preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a Field Service capacity, preferably with computer hardware, software, and medical devices.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, with lasers and optics valued; excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; excellent customer service skills; ability to work independently; physical ability to stand and sit for extended periods and lift and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
