About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a leading role in the Main Kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef and leading the team to create a 5 Star, 5 Diamond environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in creating and developing creative and innovative menus for assigned food and beverage outlets.
  • Enforce all HACCP and safety rules and regulations.
  • Expedite food orders and schedule daily line-up.
  • Assist with ordering products and inspecting food products for quality.
  • Train and develop colleagues and control labor and food costs.
  • Approve quality standards of all dishes leaving the kitchen.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.
  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent computer skills.
  • Pleasant, friendly, and helpful manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and consistently delight and satisfy guests.
