Job Overview

SUMMARY: The Ticketing Associate is tasked with managing daily ticket sales for guests visiting the amusement park. This role focuses on executing financial transactions for admissions while ensuring a positive customer experience through maintaining safe, clean environments and delivering friendly service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes computerized systems to process sales for park admissions, food and beverage items, and other merchandise.
  • Promotes and sells amusement season passes on-site.
  • Maintains a cash register with a minimum of $300, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
  • Acquires and retains knowledge of ride height restrictions to guarantee guest safety.
  • Becomes well-versed in general park information to act as a primary representative of New Orleans City Park and its attractions.
  • Encourages the purchase of season passes and memberships for Friends of City Park.
  • Ensures the work area is consistently clean and adequately stocked.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, along with one to three years of relevant experience or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

Must possess the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with American currency.
