ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Goodyear, Arizona, focusing on the Andersen Aluminum product lines. This role emphasizes quality enhancement, customer satisfaction, project assistance, and ensuring product compliance with specifications and performance standards. You will work collaboratively with various departments, including operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, and engineering, to effectively advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make informed decisions in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Drive corrective actions through root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Oversee quality metrics for designated areas.
  • Utilize methodologies such as PDCA, A3, DOE, 5-Why, Fish Bone Diagram, Lean Sigma, and DMAIC.
  • Possess expertise in applying and teaching quality management techniques.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of quality management and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Manage document control, product and process qualification, and auditing processes.
  • Implement error-proofing strategies, waste identification, and visual management practices.
  • Analyze data using statistical methods to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards to develop manufacturing control plans and work instructions.
  • Create process validation plans and document outcomes.
  • Approve engineering change requests or PLM submissions.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.
  • Employ software tools like Excel or Minitab for data analysis to identify trends.
  • Provide quality assurance support to ensure compliance with quality standards for both internal and external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, quality programs, SPC, process capability, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in measurement tools and systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • ASQ Certifications - ASQ CSSGB (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt), ASQ CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt), ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer).
  • Basic AutoCAD skills and understanding of geometric tolerancing.
