Overview
Position at SBM Management Services. The Field Operations Supervisor is tasked with the safe oversight of custodial and janitorial functions within the designated program. This role encompasses managing both company personnel and temporary staff involved in the operations. The individual will conduct inspections of facilities, equipment, and working environments to ensure adherence to sanitation standards and OSHA regulations.Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the responsibilities of team members within the assigned program.
- Provide training, guidance, and direction to staff regarding tasks, safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee work activities, suggesting training and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Prepare written documentation, including pass-down reports, weekly summaries, or monthly evaluations.
- Conduct quality, service, and safety assessments.
- Manage equipment inventory, including maintenance and repair tracking.
- Oversee supply inventory and management.
- Ensure employees utilize personal protective equipment correctly to maintain safety compliance.
- Report personnel and client-related issues to management.
- Address unsafe behaviors immediately and report them to management.
- Offer suggestions for corrective measures in areas requiring improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive records, including training, inspections, attendance, and performance metrics.
- Possess familiarity with supervisory duties.
- Some travel may be necessary for this role.
Qualifications:
- Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; a high school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Forklift certification may be necessary.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
- Proficient in database software, internet applications, spreadsheet tools, and word processing programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, training skills, and time management capabilities.
- Competence in problem-solving, presentation, and coaching.
- Able to read and comprehend documents such as safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, contractors, or employees of the organization. Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
Compensation: $69,000 - $70,000 per year
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM
