Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team at South Shore Health. As a key member of our Hospital Medicine Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose patients, developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Order diagnostic tests, consultations, and procedures as necessary, ensuring timely and effective care for patients.
- Manage chronic medical conditions and provide continuous care to hospitalized inpatients, utilizing current guidelines and best practices.
- Prescribe medications and write orders in accordance with current practice guidelines, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Document patient care and progress, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to develop and facilitate care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
- Completion of Advanced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Massachusetts.
- ACLS Certification and experience in inpatient settings, preferably with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
