Job Title:
Financial Operations Manager

Job Summary:


As a financial operations manager for Vaco, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

You will provide strategic financial guidance, manage day-to-day accounting functions, and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals during this transitional period.


Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Accounting Operations:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate financial projections.

Cost Control:
Monitor manufacturing costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.

Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Audit Preparation:
Prepare documentation and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.

Cash Management:
Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting, banking relationships, and investment strategies.

Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the finance and accounting functions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
Proven experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with manufacturing-specific software is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
