We are seeking a highly skilled Central Registration Specialist to join our Ambulatory Patient Financial Clearance team in the Revenue Cycle Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and obtain demographic, guarantor, subscriber, and payor information to ensure accurate benefits verification, authorization, and precertification processes.
  • Coordinate with patients, referring locations, scheduled service areas, financial counselors, and other stakeholders to obtain additional information or provide updates on patient financial status.
  • Counsel patients and offices on out-of-network situations and potential payor technicalities.
  • Work closely with financial counselors, clinics, and other departments to identify funding sources and obtain necessary information for accurate third-party billing and patient financial responsibility.
  • Ensure patients are aware of their financial obligations and have access to financial education materials.
  • Provide financial planning and counseling to patients and families to obtain payment for services rendered in accordance with policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance with system policies related to data collection, patient and family education, patient rights and responsibilities, legal consents, and release of information.
  • Ensure compliance with JCAHO, patient responsibilities and rights, HIPAA, and system contracts with third-party payors.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of healthcare experience, preferably in benefits, insurance verification, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
