Key Responsibilities- Provide legal guidance to the sales leadership team, communicating complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Lead negotiations on commercial transactions and partnerships, identifying and mitigating legal risks.
- Manage and develop a team of attorneys globally, guiding them on commercial transactions and managing escalations.
- Develop and roll out legal terms related to commercial transactions, training sales and deal desk teams on the terms.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to identify issues in the contracting process and drive continuous improvement.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law (preferably in California).
- 10+ years of experience as a commercial transactions attorney in-house (preferably technology, media, SaaS or cloud experience).
- Excellent negotiation, legal drafting, and communication skills.
- Experience in areas of intellectual property and data privacy law.
- A proven track-record of working effectively and supporting the sales team, exercising sound judgement that incorporates strong legal analysis, a pragmatic approach, and consideration of business goals, risk tolerance, and stakeholder priorities.
- Ability to balance a high volume of legal matters in a timely and effective manner.
- Knowledge and understanding of doing business globally, including working across organizational, functional, and geographic boundaries.
- Strong EQ and interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to work and communicate cross-functionally.

- Experience in managing and developing attorneys at different levels.
