Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care services under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, mid-level provider, or physician in an office setting.
- Assist with various procedures, including checking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and collecting specimens.
- Perform clerical duties, such as sending and receiving patient medical records, completing forms and requisitions, and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including setting up instruments and equipment, cleaning exam rooms, and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a certified program for Medical Assistants.
- Current certificate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
- Phlebotomy training and licensure, if required by practice.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a medical office or facility.
- Considerable skill in communicating verbally, determining priorities, and organizing work.
- Ability to maintain an organized, alphabetized filing system.
- General working knowledge of PC software, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and EPIC.
- Computerized appointment scheduling experience.
- Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
