Job Summary:
The Lead Medical Support Specialist is a vital member of our patient care team at Concentra, responsible for providing work leadership to a team of Medical Support Specialists (MSS) under the direction of the Center Operation Director (COD). This role ensures clinical care is executed and exceptional service is delivered to all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign duties and responsibilities for MSS staff while monitoring patient flow
- Maintain all medical equipment and medical devices and facilitate maintenance as needed
- Ensure that the medical center maintains appropriate stocking of supplies, equipment, medications, testing and treatment equipment for safe and proper patient treatment
- Facilitate completion of any applicable training, including clinical competency training for MSS staff
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school (credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations)
- Customarily has at least six months or more of medical assistant experience
- Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology
- Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred
