Position Information:
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families. The plan of care is based on the patient's individual needs, identified through assessment and physician orders. The Clinical Nurse supports the organization's mission, values, and management of patient care services, actively supporting and incorporating the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act, WakeMed's Division of Nursing Professional Practice model, and WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model. The four key concepts of PFCC are: Dignity and Respect = Listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices; Information Sharing = Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful; Participation = Patients and families are encouraged and supported in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose; Collaboration = Patients and families and the Clinical Nurse collaborate in the delivery of care. This RN will lead a team comprised of an LPN and NT in caring for long stay medical patients experiencing barriers to discharge. 6A Medicine will deliver care via a team-based approach to optimize outcomes for this patient population while they await transition to the next level of care.
Estimated Salary Range: $68,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience.
Experience Requirements:
No experience required, but must be a Registered Nurse with a valid NC RN license.
Education Required:
Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Current NC RN license required.
Hours of Work:
Nights (7p-7a), Monday-Friday; Weekends as needed.
