Job Summary:

The Administrative Director Assistant will support the Administrative Director in managing SkyRidge's operations, including policy development, strategy implementation, and overseeing daily activities. This role requires active participation in leadership meetings, staff training, and coordination with other departments to foster team building and achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Administrative Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing day-to-day operations of SkyRidge.
  • Participate in developing, maintaining, and periodically updating written policies and procedures.
  • Oversee nutrition services, ensuring adequate nutrition services are provided.
  • Work with the Activity Department to assist in planning special events and collaborate activities that SkyRidge will offer.
  • Work with the Cottage Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing and schedule in the absence of the Cottage Coordinator.
  • Participate in the interviewing, hiring, coaching, and termination of staff, and conduct employee reviews.
  • Provide support and training to all staff and ensure staff are working safely.
  • Provide oversight and meet regularly with other departments at WyndStone and SkyRidge to promote team building and discuss goals as a Heights campus in support with the Administrative Director.
  • Assist with payroll in Paylocity and attend monthly LDG meetings held on main campus.
  • Assist nursing in creating and reviewing care plans and ensure nursing staff are reviewing and signing care plans on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in a human service or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Must hold a CNA license or complete the SJU CNA Course within 6 months from hire date.
  • Must obtain certification within 120 days of class completion.
  • Agrees to take at least 7 days of call per month and possibly more if necessary.
  • Obtains Administrator's Certificate within one year.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of state regulations and survey process, including admit requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead staff meetings with feedback from the Administrative Director and communicate outcomes to the entire team.
  • Demonstrate servant leadership by working when coverage is needed.
  • Good writing, verbal, and observation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires lifting, bending, walking, and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions:

  • Work involves some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Work involves frequent exposure to hazards, blood-borne pathogens, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Normal healthcare environment.
  • Work involves exposure to plants and animals within the environment.
