Customer Service Leader Job Description

Job Summary:

To provide exceptional customer service and support to customers at Food Lion stores. The Customer Service Leader will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience, and promoting sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide fast, easy, and friendly service to customers, adhering to Food Lion customer service standards.
  • Assist customers with their shopping needs, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with other store associates to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Support the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Customer Service Manager in maintaining standards and promoting sales growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the store.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, frequently walk short distances, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions, bend, and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions.
  • Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
