Senior Director, EPC Programs Manager

We are seeking a Senior Director, EPC Programs Manager to join our team in the energy sector. This role will report to the VP, Customer Installations Group and be based in a dynamic office environment. This is a fully on-site, in-office role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, evaluate, and select Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies in line with the current and anticipated future needs of the Bloom Installations business.
  2. Provide ongoing negotiation of costs, operational performance, terms, and conditions of our EPC partners.
  3. Implement robust cost reduction tracking methodologies and design/construct/product feedback to continuously improve our Installations Cost and Quality.
  4. Develop partnership relations with EPC companies and pursue new business opportunities for Bloom Energy.
  5. Provide strong management of the supply base to ensure that business needs for schedule, costs, flexibility, and technology needs are met or exceeded.
  6. Ensure compliance by establishing and clearly communicating the design, safety, and quality requirements to EPC suppliers.
  7. Ensure that installation timelines are supported with capacity and timely acceptances.
  8. Evaluate and drive further actions with the leadership team to identify competitive advantages for Bloom Energy.
  9. Lead the EPC program to drive efficiencies and migrate the team from lower-value activities to higher-value-added activities such as new program technologies for Installations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree required, engineering background required.
  2. 15+ years in a senior procurement role preferably in the energy sector.
  3. Demonstrated success in managing EPCs in the energy sector.
  4. Technical skills to enable identification and qualification of multiple EPC companies.
  5. Demonstrated ability to drive and coordinate international construction activities.
  6. In-depth negotiation experience and the ability to meet cost targets is required.
  7. Strong analytical and technical skills are key.
  8. Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships across the company and with suppliers.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  10. Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  11. Ability to excel in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  12. Self-motivated with high energy level and a strong work ethic.
  13. Organizational leadership skills; aggressiveness in achieving results, yet sensitivity to the need for communicating effectively with other members of the team.

Salary Ranges:

$228,000.00 - $328,000.00
