Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in providing engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on projects in various market sectors, such as healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects
• Perform Load/Energy calculations using software such as Trace 700, Carrier HAP, and similar programs
• Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
• Develop system design calculations and select equipment for use in buildings
• Write and edit project specifications
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
• Conduct code compliance research
• Coordinate work with other disciplines
• Provide construction administration services

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of design experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
• Excellent work ethic and attitude
• Good communication and time management skills
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work

Preferred Qualifications:

• LEED certification/experience is a plus
• Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred
