About the Role
Yieldstreet is in search of a Senior Associate for Fund Management who will oversee all aspects of financial reporting and operational functions related to the Cadre Funds. This role involves collaborating closely with the Fund Management and Finance teams to ensure the seamless execution of our Real Estate Fund reporting and operations. You will act as an in-house expert in fund management while partnering with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Investments, and Legal teams to enhance the technology that supports our workflows. Additionally, you will foster strong relationships with external auditors and third-party administrators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities related to Cadre's Fund and financial statement reporting, including year-end audits and tax filings.
  • Maintain the fiscal integrity of the organization through thorough reviews of daily accounting and operational activities, such as investor distributions and communications.
  • Enhance processes and ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency through regular reviews of transactions recorded by the external Fund Administrator.
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to improve technology supporting Fund Management operations and provide quarterly valuation support.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization and its internal and external partnerships.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with non-financial stakeholders to guide current business developments and serve as an escalation point.
    • Engage with the broader organization on investor reporting, promoting continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in addressing inquiries from investors.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in accounting for private equity funds, preferably within a private equity firm, fund administrator, or public accounting organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with a keen business acumen to quickly understand new issues and identify critical questions.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with direct and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and communicative, able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in general business computer applications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Commitment to working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
