We are seeking a highly skilled Private Equity Fund Accounting Manager to join our team at Gen II Fund Services, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations and accounting of our private equity fund clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily fund operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the accounting and operations of existing funds independently.
- Interface and manage clients with limited guidance, providing exceptional customer service.
- Extract key economics, compile, and document thorough summaries with limited guidance.
- Supervise, manage, and direct a small accounting staff, if required.
- Oversee and provide guidance on the initial setup of client fund deliverables, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, and IRRs.
- Perform multiple levels of review and analysis of financial reports, capital events, and private equity complex transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting - Public/Private.
- CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant private equity fund/investment company accounting and reporting experience.
- Ability to learn quickly, apply learning to clients, and recommend solutions to issues.
- Ability to adapt to changes in processes and procedures in a rapidly changing environment.
- Sound knowledge of investment company accounting (ASC 946), economics (waterfalls and allocations), fund structure (corporate, partnership, tax blockers, etc.), and investor classifications.
- Sound knowledge of types of reporting for investment funds/investment companies and investors in US GAAP (ASC 946) and IFRS.
- Sufficient knowledge and hands-on experience with governing documents, such as LPAs, management advisory agreements, side letters, separate fee agreements, etc.
- Hands-on experience in accounting/audit of private equity funds, management companies, and other related vehicles.
- Management and supervisory experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Superior problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to think independently, prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel (pivots), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000-$170,000, a discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The actual salary offered will depend on the candidate's experience level.
Work ArrangementAll applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. US employees are required to work a hybrid schedule, comprised of two days a week in our office and three days remotely.
