You will be instrumental in the initial review and coordination of our Real Estate Fund's reporting and operational functions, acting as an in-house expert in fund management. Additionally, you will work alongside the Product and Engineering, Commercial and Investments, and Legal teams to enhance the technology that supports our workflows. Building and maintaining robust relationships with external auditors and third-party administrators will also be a key responsibility. As an ideal candidate, you possess a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and a keen attention to detail. You are results-driven and eager to grow professionally across various financial disciplines within real estate investment technology, aiming to make a significant impact at a rapidly growing financial technology firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities related to Cadre's Fund and financial statement reporting, including participation in year-end audits and tax filings.
  • Ensure the fiscal integrity of the organization through meticulous reviews of daily accounting and operational activities, including investor distributions, syndications, and communications.
  • Proactively enhance processes and maintain accountability for accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and consistency through regular reviews of transactions recorded by the external Fund Administrator.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners to improve technology supporting Fund Management operations and provide quarterly valuation support.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization and how various functions collaborate internally and with external auditors/third-party administrators.
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with non-financial business stakeholders to offer guidance on current business developments and serve as an escalation point.
    • Educate and engage the broader organization on investor reporting, identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Assist in addressing inquiries from investors.
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of experience in accounting for private equity funds, preferably at a private equity firm, fund administrator, or public accounting organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • Strong analytical, research, and business acumen skills, with the ability to quickly understand new issues and identify critical questions.
  • Initiative-driven and results-oriented, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both direct and cross-functional teams as a leader and collaborator; experience in partnering with internal and external entities for accounting, reporting, and financial operations.
  • Highly communicative, organized, and adept at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to work independently in a complex organization; capable of independent thinking and appropriately escalating issues.
  • Proficient in general business computer applications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, including excellent oral and written communication abilities.
