Customer Service Associate I

Location: United States

Job Summary: This position is dedicated to enhancing sales and distribution efforts by delivering exceptional customer support. The role acts as the primary contact for both internal and external inquiries related to Bausch & Lomb's small to medium-sized direct trading partners. The Customer Service Associate will efficiently handle daily order processing, manage incoming service calls, respond to customer requests for information, and resolve standard customer and order-related issues. The focus is on improving the customer experience for all Bausch & Lomb clients through consistent follow-up, effective communication, meticulous attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management

Oversee order processing through various channels such as email, fax, telephone, and electronic systems with precision and promptness for small to medium-sized direct trading partners.

Track open order reports to ensure timely progression to physical distribution and address any issues as necessary.

Respond to and resolve standard customer inquiries and requests received via telephone, email, mail, and fax efficiently, including:

  • Product information and availability
  • Order placement, status updates, cancellations, and tracking details
  • Billing inquiries and invoice requests

Responsible for escalating inquiries and issues while documenting all customer interactions in the customer relationship management system.

Ensure service continuity during disruptions (such as weather events, employee absences, or company closures) including some holidays and shutdown periods.

Compliance

Understand and adhere to all company policies.

Ensure all transactions comply with established guidelines.

Collaborate with team members to resolve inquiries or issues.

Meet minimum performance metrics for schedule adherence, call handling, order entry, and status updates as determined by management.

Required Education: High school diploma

Experience: 0 - 1 year of customer service experience

Preferred Experience: 2 years of customer service and order entry experience
