Position Summary

Oldcastle Lawn and Garden is in search of a candidate who embodies an entrepreneurial mindset to oversee all facets of a dynamic lawn and garden products manufacturing facility. The daily responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators, ensuring safety, managing production flow, and controlling material costs. In this capacity, the Production Supervisor will lead the team, evaluate performance, schedule, and direct all operational functions to guarantee product quality and consistency while fostering a culture where safety is paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement process enhancement strategies to ensure continuous operations and efficient production in a safe and profitable manner.
  • Oversee inventory management, labor allocation, production efficiency, and cost control measures.
  • Provide leadership to team members, evaluate performance, and manage scheduling and operational activities to uphold quality and consistency.
  • Promote workplace safety through the implementation, adherence, and enforcement of company standards, alongside safety and development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven skills in employee training, including planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Strong multi-tasking, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools, including their design, application, repair, and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in wood, pulp, or mulch manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with heavy machinery and equipment is preferred.
