Marketing Coordinator, HoneyRock Leadership Center

Position Overview

The Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in strategizing, executing, and overseeing the marketing and communication initiatives for HoneyRock. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this position collaborates closely with the HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development while being an integral part of the Wheaton College Office of Marketing Communications. The primary focus is to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that effectively addresses the needs of all HoneyRock programs and stakeholders. This role may be based on the Wheaton main campus or at HoneyRock.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Marketing Strategy Development & Implementation**: Spearhead the marketing strategy to enhance visibility, engagement, and measurable interest in collaboration with program directors for key initiatives, including:
  • Seasonal summer staff recruitment.
  • Summer camp promotions.
  • Wheaton in the Northwoods program.
  • Vanguard Gap Year opportunities.
  • M.A. in Outdoor Adventure Leadership.
  • Additional programs as prioritized.
2. **Content Creation & Communication**: Direct the planning and execution of communication efforts aimed at expanding HoneyRock's audience and enhancing engagement. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective delivery.

3. **Website Management**: Oversee the HoneyRock website, focusing on user experience, search engine optimization, visual content, and data analytics.

4. **Social Media Management**: Develop and execute a robust social media strategy to enhance brand presence.

5. **Market Analysis**: Conduct market research as needed to inform strategic decisions.

6. **Student Media Team Oversight**: Recruit, train, and supervise a summer student media team to produce high-quality content.

7. **Special Initiatives**: Participate in special projects as needed, aligning with overall capacity and strategic goals.

Note: This job description outlines key responsibilities; specific tasks may evolve over time.

Location:

This position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence approximately two days per week for meetings and collaborative work, along with travel as necessary. Flexibility in location and hours will be determined by the Director of Marketing in consultation with the HoneyRock Executive Director.

Qualifications
  1. Demonstrated Christ-centered character.
  2. Alignment with the mission and vision of Wheaton College and HoneyRock.
  3. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing or a related field.
  4. Proven experience in leading successful marketing and communication projects.
  5. Detail-oriented, proactive, efficient, collaborative, and open to learning.
  6. Valid driver's license required.
FLSA Status: Exempt
