School Based Personal Care Aide Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Based Personal Care Aide to join our team at Interim HealthCare of NEPA. As a School Based Personal Care Aide, you will provide hands-on personal care and support to students with disabilities in a school setting.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to students with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist students with mobility and transfer needs, including wheelchair transfers and ambulation.
  • Provide emotional support and redirection to students who may exhibit behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with school staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document student progress and report any changes or concerns to the school and Interim HealthCare.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 6 months experience in a related field, such as behavioral health or pediatrics.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings.
