Key Responsibilities- Manage employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts in a fair and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with Cumberland County's policies and labor laws, including FMLA, EEO, and ADA
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations to resolve complex employee relations issues
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance HR skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships and increase productivity and retention
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Five (5) years of human resources, employee relations, or HR compliance experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of employment laws and policies, including federal, state, and local regulations
- Ability to analyze needs and resources, and recommend effective solutions
- SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification
- Experience in managing employee relations in a public sector organization
