The Challenge

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our Division 12 team at the NC Department of Transportation. In this role, you will serve as a Human Resources specialist in qualification and salary administration, reviewing job applications and hiring packages to ensure compliance with merit-based hiring practices.

What You Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need experience using Human Resources Information systems, exercising judgment and discretion in the application and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures, and providing customer service through email and phone. You will also need a working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and the ability to complete hiring packages using salary administration rules.

Education & Experience

An Associate's degree in Human Resources or a relevant field, and 1+ year of experience, or 2+ years of HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required for this role.
