Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Design Manager

Impact Fire Services is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Design Manager to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for managing the design and implementation of fire sprinkler systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate with the design team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide coaching and training to design team members as needed.
  • Review design drawings and calculations for accuracy and compliance with State and local codes.
  • Design and facilitate designs based on client requirements and industry standards.
  • Meet with sales to review project contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Obtain copies of necessary materials and perform hydraulic calculations to properly size pipes.
  • Submit drawings to Authorities Having Jurisdiction, General Contractors, and Engineers as required.
  • Survey job sites to verify design viability and make corrections as needed.
Requirements:
  • NICET level III or higher in Water Based Systems Layout.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the fire protection design field.
  • CAD experience required, with experience with HydraCAD or other fire sprinkler related software a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints for fire sprinkler layout and a good understanding of hydraulic calculations.
  • Ability to make technical presentations internally and to customers.
  • Sound working knowledge of NFPA 13 and related codes.
