Holland America Line is seeking a skilled On Stage Alaska Presenter to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for presenting live sales presentations to prospective guests at travel agencies across North America, creating awareness and interest in Holland America Alaska destination products through education and entertainment.
Key Responsibilities- Present scripted sales presentations to prospective guests at local travel agencies to create Holland America Alaska destination product awareness through education and entertainment.
- Maintain control of sound/audio visual equipment, including transportation, setup, and breakdown.
- Host pre- and post-show receptions to answer questions and build relationships with travel agents.
- Complete show reports and paperwork at the end of each event.
- Keep in touch with agency contacts and aid with event promotion, including confirming show details two weeks prior.
- Coordinate team travel, including air, rental car, and hotel accommodations.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the manager.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Strong presentation and entertainment skills, both in-person and virtually.
- Ability to keep organized and maintain attention to detail.
- Prior knowledge of Alaska and related programs is preferred.
- Ability to travel, including renting a car.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to different situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Importance of being a team player, taking initiative, and following direction.
- Minimum of one year of travel agency/cruise experience is preferred.
- Strong guest relations and sales skills are preferred.
