Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Specialist to join our team at Aerotek. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and servicing industrial machines at customer sites. This is a travel-based position that requires extensive travel throughout the Northeast and possibly the entirety of North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, and start-up company manufactured industrial equipment at customer sites according to specifications and drawings.
  • Monitor erection and installation of equipment to ensure that company guidelines and tolerances have been met.
  • Service all company products at customer sites; testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting as needed.
  • Provide technical support to customers over the telephone and via email, addressing and resolving questions and problems.
  • Communicate with appropriate company employees regarding product problems to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Conduct training and service programs in the operation and maintenance of equipment for customer employees.
  • Complete all required records and documentation for customers and for the company.
  • Determine the acceptance of equipment installation to activate warranty.
Requirements
  • Requires high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 to 3 years of technical experience.
  • Industry-specific certifications a plus; must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, customer specifications, warranties, company standards, and operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees of the organization.
