Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grill Chef Duties: Ensure adherence to production standards and proper food handling practices. Maintain communication with the Executive Chef regarding production and recipe issues. Foster positive relationships with customers.
  • Pantry Specialist Duties: Oversee pantry operations and salad bar management, including inventory management and production lists. Collaborate with production staff to meet inventory demands while minimizing waste.
  • Hot Line Responsibilities: Manage meal production to ensure timely service. Follow standard recipes and maintain communication with the Executive Chef about production concerns.
  • Baker Relief Duties: Ensure the freshness and presentation of baked goods, including pastries and breads. Assist in the display and merchandising of bakery items.
  • Catering and Special Events: Support the setup, service, and breakdown of catering events, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • Float Chef Functions: Assist various kitchen specialists as needed, maintaining proper food safety practices and effective communication with staff. Participate in daily briefings to discuss production needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. with proficiency in reading and writing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sanitation and safety practices in food service.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a culinary production role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in a culinary environment.
  • Familiarity with chemical safety and OSHA regulations.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a dynamic culinary setting where teamwork and collaboration are essential. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and food quality.

Compensation:

The hiring pay range for this position is $18.00 per hour, with eligibility for an annual incentive award program.
