Job Summary

The Production Sous Chef is a key member of our food service team, responsible for overseeing the preparation, production, packaging, delivery, and service of all foods for bulk and unitized meals service. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen associates, ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are accomplished on a daily basis.
  • Develop and implement production plans, including menu planning, inventory management, and ordering.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and iCater management to ensure that all catering events are executed smoothly and to the satisfaction of clients.
  • Mentor and coach trainees to ensure that they are meeting the standards of quality and consistency required by iCater.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • ServSafe and/or Sanitation Certification.
  • At least five (5) years food service experience in institutional cooking, kitchen and/or food service operations.
  • Minimum of three (3) years food service supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a human service environment dedicated to serving the homeless community and individuals with substance abuse issues.
  • Knowledge and experience in menu and food production planning, nutrition, and special diets.
Salary and Benefits

$54,000 - $64,000 annually DOE.
